Sculpture: “Dissecting the Sand, Sea & Sky”

A new site specific work that was made from views from the beach at different times of the day. A sea of many reflections, rough beach texture, sky of changing light and dark. They were then “dissected” and made abstract. Finally, random motion pulls it back to the movement of the sea. Undulating to some unknown rhythm. The two shots below work taken from the inside of the 30 meter tall artwork. Be sure to go check it out in SL.

  1. hmm. Not convinced. A substantial idea I take into consideration is how challenging it is to give credit to the subject material so totally. I was wondering about this when planning to publish a post for my own web site.
