To me making art in sl is a form of ecstacy. When I think of ecstacy it’s something unrestrained and full of emotion and energy. Color, motion, sound and texture create visual and audio This piece is about my exploring what the materials and scripts can become, a pile of changing and contradictory sensations. Sharp spikes, round at times, long at others, the forms have minds of their own as they wander the turf. I have changed the shapes of sculpted prims with the textures they are using to make visual chaos which users can explore at monumental scale. While I did the sound arrangement, the loop sound was created by musician Podington Bear. I cut the song into 10 sec samples so sounds vary dramatically depending on where you are in the installation.
